Line Of Duty fans, take note. If the upcoming new series of the Jed Mercurio drama just isn't enough to satisfy your craving then we have good news: the BBC has just announced a podcast is on the way, too.

Named Obsessed With... Line Of Duty, the podcast will be hosted by former cast member, Craig Parkinson, who famously played DI Matthew Cottan on the TV show.

In each episode, Craig will be chatting to people connected to the show, whether they're cast members, crew or celebrity super fans.

As well as sharing backstage secrets and talking about the series generally, there will also be some pondering as to the mystery of 'H', as well as exploring of theories about the upcoming plot.

Fans will be encouraged to send their musings into the podcast, and Craig might even put them to key Line Of Duty figures.

Each episode will be available straight after the television segment airs, so you can head straight to your BBC Sounds app and see what others have to say about what you've just watched.

So, if your friends grow sick of talking to you about the show non-stop, you know where to go!

In a statement on the podcast, Craig teased: "Returning to the world of Line Of Duty, this time as a podcast host, is very exciting.

"I'm looking forward to chatting with some fantastic guests, cast members old and new and getting as frustrated as everyone else trying to work out where AC-12 are taking us this season.

The podcast will be available on BBC Sounds (

"As someone who's been deep on the inside, I'm well aware we'll be in for a rollercoaster ride and hosting the podcast side by side, week by week, we'll be able to delve deep into the files and fan theories of AC-12.

"Hold tight team!"

The first episode of the series will drop on Sunday 21st March on BBC Sounds - the same day that the show returns to screens.

Now we're doubly excited.
