The 39-year-old failed to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith during Patisserie Week - but many feel Laura, who bombed in the show's technical challenge, should have got the boot.

Several were fuming at the decision, with many venting their frustration on social media.
"Bad decision, Hermine was consistently brilliant," said one belligerent Bake Off fan.
"Laura has consistently made mistakes almost every week, whilst Hermine has made one and gets sent home even though she has been star baker twice. Make it make sense please!" another added.

"Hermine was robbed!" a third said.
Now, 31-year-old Laura taken to Twitter to hit back at trolls who have attacked her for making it to the final.
It's ok to be sad your favourite person didn't go through, but please remember it's not my fault. I don't make the decisions. GBBO is all about kindness and I haven't seen much of that on here.

"It's easy to sit there on your sofa and judge," she wrote. "But I am a real person with feelings.
"It's okay to be sad your favourite person didn't go through, but please remember it's not my fault. I don't make the decisions. GBBO is all about kindness and I haven't seen much of that on here."
She added: "Please take a moment to consider your words before you judge someone you've never met and whose food you've never tasted."

Laura has previously spoken about her worries when appearing on Bake Off.
In response to an article marking her as a fan favourite, Laura wrote: "I was terrified about going on GBBO because I thought I was going to be picked apart because of my weight. This means a lot."
Laura will face off against armoured guard Dave, 31, and student Peter, 20, in next week's final.
The remaining three bakers will have to try their hand at a set-custard signature, a chocolate and nut technical and a dessert tower showstopper.
