When Avatar was released over 10 years ago, it became the second highest grossing movie of all time, so it makes a *lot* of sense that everyone is so excited over the sequel, Avatar 2.
Now, the production company behind the franchise has released a juicy behind-the-scenes snap that was taken before the coronavirus lockdown halted filming.
From the set of the sequels: @ZoeSaldana, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, and Cliff Curtis taking a break from underwater performance capture for a quick photo!

The film - which is set for release in December 2021 - is the first of three sequels being produced.
Taking to Twitter earlier this week, the official Avatar account posted an image of the cast in action, captioned: "From the set of the sequels: @ZoeSaldana, Sam Worthington, Kate Winslet, and Cliff Curtis taking a break from underwater performance capture for a quick photo!
"Fun fact: Much of the performance capture took place in this 900,000 gallon tank, built specifically for the sequels."
In the snap, Kate (who plays Ronal) can be seen, as well as Zoe (Neytiri), Sam (Jake Sully) and Cliff (Tonowari).
The four can be seen in their diving gear, taking a quick break from performing in the tank.
Although filming is currently on hold due to the Covid-19 outbreak, director James Cameron is confident the team will still be able to stick to a release date of December 2021.
Speaking to Empire, he explained everything was on hold, but that some of the production crew were able to work on the special effects at home virtually.

"It's putting a major crimp in our stride here. I want to get back to work on Avatar, which right now we're not allowed to do under state emergency laws or rules. So it's all on hold right now," he said.
"[...] We've got everybody - everybody at Weta Digital and Lightstorm - working from home to the extent that that is possible."
We're keeping our fingers crossed the movie is able to stick to its December 2021 release - after all, we've been waiting over a decade for this!
