Ant and Dec have finally had a taste of their own medicine, after taking part in their first ever I'm A Celeb bushtucker trial.

The pair have been presenting the show for almost 19 years - and this is the first time they've ever had to get stuck into a trial themselves. It's about time!

Ahead of this year's series - which will take place in North Wales due to the pandemic - ITV will air a special episode next Sunday evening, titled I'm a Celebrity: A Jungle Story.

In it, viewers will watch Ant and Dec take a trip down memory lane, reliving their favourite moments from the previous 19 series of the show.

And the best bit - viewers will be able to witness the hosts take on their first bushtucker trial, which was filmed last year after former Extra Camp host Joel Dommett dared the pair to have a go.

And if the pictures are anything to go by, it certainly looks like Ant and Dec experience some of the worst trials ever.

They include: catching stars while being covered in buckets of slime and insects, and having to eat all kinds of stomach-churning critters and animal parts.

We cannot wait to watch these two get a taste of their own medicine!

Writing about the experience on Instagram, they said: "Well, we did it. We finally got talked into doing a #BushertuckerTrial.

"Don't ask how but rest assured it was as hideous as we thought! Watch us make complete wallabies of ourselves, and take a look back at 19 series of #ImACeleb, on A Jungle Story, 8:10pm next Sunday, 8th Nov on @itv."

For the last 19 series, I'm A Celeb has been filmed in Australia, but due to the pandemic, it's had a dramatic change of scenery.

Determined to keep the show on telly and give the viewers a brilliant series, the reality show is now taking place at a breathtaking castle in North Wales.

The stunning Gwrych Castle is located in Conwy and has had the ultimate transformation to make it suitable for the show. And it's also rumoured to be haunted!

ITV has not yet confirmed an official start date, but we'll let you know as soon as they do. In the meantime, I'm a Celebrity: A Jungle Story airs next Sunday, 8th November at 8.10pm on ITV.
