Ann Widdecombe shut down Holly Willoughby for 'interrupting' her during an interview on This Morning about the #MeToo movement and fans found it hilarious.

The presenter was asked if she got 'paid per interruption' after Holly asked Ann why she didn't think the #MeToo movement has given women a voice.

After feeling she had been interrupted, Ann said: "I'm about to tell you if you have the patience.

"Are you auditioning for John Humphreys job or something?

"I once asked him if he was paid by the interruption."

From the look on Holly's face she was quite shocked by the former politician's reaction.

Co-host Phillip Schofield was clearly amused by the disagreement as he covered his face, holding back his laughter.

Social media users also found the exchange hilarious as they describe Ann as 'having no fear'.

One user wrote: "Anne Widdecombe just shut Holly down to be quiet this woman has no fear[sic]".

Another added: "Well that's you told @hollywills @schofe stop laughing[sic]".

A final user begged for the presenters to 'just agree with her' to stop the interview early.

The former Tory MP told Holly and Phil she thinks women have "already won" their fight for equality and now want things "tilted in their favour".

Ann said: "I don't actually think that it has achieved anything except in the serious cases where they did need support, and that's fine.

"But it's also given rise to a lot of very trivial whinging. Recently an academic doctor was complaining at an airport because rather than being referred to as Dr Smith it was Mrs Smith.

"Get a life, girls!"

Ann also added: "When I was a graduate in the 1970s, it was perfectly lawful for an employer to advertise a job with two rates of pay, one for women and one for men.

"It was lawful to refuse a woman a property a mortgage, a finance agreement just because she was a woman... in the 90s that all changed and instead of being a level playing field, we want a tilted playing field towards us."

The interview would have been perfect for a special This Morning spin-off in October, dedicated to Holly and Phillip's most hilarious 'unseen' moments.

Viewers will be hit with a double dose of the ITV daytime duo when the 90-minute evening episode hits ITV next month.

The evening special, named This Morning - 30 Unforgettable Years will celebrate three decades of the daytime programme airing on television, while looking back at all the celebrity gossip, real life stories and news
