American Horror Story showrunner Ryan Murphy has teased fans on Instagram with a first look at Season 10 of the supernatural horror.

Posting on social media, Ryan shared a very creepy image of a mouth filled with razor sharp teeth and an 'AHS10' tattoo inked on the tongue.

As we know, all of our favourite TV shows have experienced some delay this year due to Covid-19, but Ryan confirmed a few months ago that production for Season 10 would be restarting in October.

"Looks like American Horror Story Season 10 is go for an October (fitting) production launch," he wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile, AHS star Finn Wittrock - who was nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of Dandy Mott in the fourth season - told Collider: "We were supposed to start shooting it back in March, and so all this time it's been, 'When are we gonna start?'

"Now, it looks like we're gonna be starting at some point relatively soon... I'm honestly trying to forget it because I'll get too obsessed, sitting in my garage doing nothing. I try to forget it exists until I know for sure when we're starting and what's going on."

Season 10 of the show is also set to bring a new famous face to the already impressive cast list - Macaulay Culkin - which we're mega excited for.

And although creators haven't revealed much about the next instalment, Sarah Paulson recently let slip a potential plot line. When asked if the next season will be about aliens, in an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the Ratched star simply replied: "It's possible".

"I think that is... possible... I'm gonna get in so much trouble!" She added.

Hmm, an extraterrestrial theme definitely sounds promising!

There's no release date for the series just yet, but it's expected to drop at some point in 2021.
