The trailer for American Horror Story: 1984 has been released and it's gearing up to be a terrifying one.
The season nine teaser revealed gruesome high-jinx will take place at Camp Redwood as a group of fun-loving teens enjoy their summer off from school until a masked slasher wreaks havoc.
The short clip opens with a group shouting enthusiastically while they drive past a sign that tells them they've reached their destination, but not is all as it seems as the back of the post reads, "BEWARE" in red letters.
We've got the spine-tingling feeling that their summer will be a lot less singing around campfire and more a bloodbath as the camera pans to underneath the moving truck where a knife-wielding, balaclava-wearing figure is clinging on.
Later in the trailer, the teenagers can be seen having a good time as they frolic by a lake.
In the water, a young girl is seen lounging on a canoe - but her sunbathing session is violently interrupted by a masked slasher, who leaps out of the water and holds a knife before the screen cuts to black.
We told you it was scary.
Earlier this summer, fans were disappointed to learn that Evan Peters wouldn't be making an appearance in season nine of FX special series.
Billie Lourd, Cody Fern and Emma Roberts are confirmed cast members for the upcoming season while Sarah Paulson, who has appeared in every season so far, will have a minor role in AHS: 1984.
They join show newbies such as Glee's Matthew Morrison and Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy.
In April, a trailer for the upcoming season was released, featuring a woman running from a masked killer in the woods and has been described as having an 80s slasher movie aesthetic.
American Horror Story: 1984 premieres in the US on Wednesday, 18th September 18 on FOX and on Thursday, 19th September on NOW TV in the UK.
