Have you always thought you've got what it takes to go undercover? When the evening rolls around, do you love nothing more than settling down for a true crime binge?

If the answer's 'yes', then we've got just the show for you.

60 Days In plunges viewers inside Clark County Jail in Indiana, USA, where seven ordinary civilians are recruited to enter the prison undercover for 60 days, to expose the reality of life in jail.

Yep, Sheriff Jamey Noel has recruited seven civilian agents to root out corruption and crime inside his overcrowded and understaffed country jail, and shine a spotlight on the flaws in a broken system.

Having originally aired on A&E back in March 2016 and now available to watch on Netflix, the show is everything we want from a true crime reality series - it's gritty, investigative and totally addictive.

All ten episodes of series one are available to watch on Netflix - and best of all, you don't have to wait long for series two, as it drops on the streamer on Tuesday 15th September.

"The system was broken. It was out of control. I had to do something radical to make my jail better," says the Sheriff Jamey Noel in the original trailer.

Talking about his civilian recruits, the Sheriff adds: "When that door slams behind them, they're gonna be scared to death."

In taking on two months of hard time, the innocent recruits are faced with brawls, drug dealers, tough encounters with real inmates, and 24/7 surveillance from over 300 cameras placed around the jail.

Series one gets underway with the first participants, including a teacher, a mum, a police officer and Zac, a Marine who manages to successfully earn the inmates' trust.

As the program continues, more undercover prisoners enter the jail including Isaiah, a teen from a rough neighbourhood, and Maryum, a social worker and daughter of Muhammed Ali.

Once you've binged all of Season 1, there's the second season to look forward to, which also plays out in Indiana's Clark Country Jail.

Meanwhile, seasons 3 and 4 take place in the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia, and the most recent series from 2019 is shot in Pinal County Jail, Arizona, but it's not yet clear if and when these will land on Netflix.
