The first episode takes viewers from the Brazilian rainforest to Norway's Svalbard archipelago showcasing how even on different parts of the world our fragile habitats rely on one another and are connected to one another.
Other episodes explore icy frozen worlds, jungles, coastal seas, deserts and grasslands, high seas, freshwater regions and forests.
The series aims to start important conversations about how the place we all call home needs us to act in this crucial time to make sure that it can survive.

"All across our planet, crucial connections are being disrupted," Attenborough says. "What we do in the next 20 years will determine the future for all life on Earth."
As temperatures are soaring across the world and sea-levels are rising at their highest rate in 2,000 years (global flooding is set to triple by 2030), people are still finding it slow to act on changing the way we use our natural resources.
Even though climate change is a huge issue, it is considered only the third most serious issue facing the world by the world's population, behind international terrorism and poverty, hunger and the lack of drinking water, according to YouGov research.
Our Planet is produced by Silverback Films, Ltd in partnership with World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
