With Halloween just around the corner, we're looking to all the terrifying ways we can celebrate the big day. And we think we may have just found the most blood-curdling of the lot...

The first ever live action horror drive-through scare maze (yes, it's a mouthful) is coming to the UK for multiple dates next month and organisers have warned it's "not for the faint hearted".

Based at the site of Rock the Park festival site in Wrexham, North Wales, the event - aptly named FestEVIL - will see thrill seeking guests experience a real-life fear fest from the safety of their own cars (there's one saving grace).

According to the event information, visitors will drive through a series of scenes from iconic horror movies and TV shows with live actors and special effects.

Guests will be instructed to drive right into the darkness to different scare points, where they'll be greeted by "twisted creatures and unexpected scares" in every scene. Aghhh!

The event is fully contactless as drivers never leave their car throughout the entire experience - so it fully adheres to social distancing.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 11th September at 9am and costs £12.50 per car for the full 15 to 20 minute experience. The event is not suitable for those under 16.

But book with heed, because organisers warn that once your car enters the event "you must complete the event in its entirety" and "no matter how scary you cannot leave the event early". Basically, there's no backing out once you're in.

Scare junkies are also warned that their car may be covered in blood splatters after, so you might want to bring something to rinse it off with before your ride home or you might attract some veeeery concerned looks from fellow drivers.

Head to Cyclone events FestEVIL booking page here at 9am on Friday 11th September to bag tickets.
