I think we can all agree a little escapism is necessary right now, and Disneyland Paris is helping us out by streaming its incredible Illuminations show.

The Paris-based theme park is currently closed amid coronavirus lockdown, but its helping to bring a little magic into our day none-the-less by streaming its world-famous light spectacle.

At 4pm BST, you'll be able to watch a prerecording of the park's nighttime spectacular, which draws thousands of visitors in each year. And there's no ticket required!

The display sees the park's castle, water fountains and sky illuminated with fireworks, projections, and other incredible special effects.

"As if by magic, the parapets and turrets of Sleeping Beauty Castle appear to move as mind-blowing special effects bring the wonder of Disney to life before your very eyes," says the resort of the mind-blowing show.

"Prepare to hold your breath and 'ahhhh' when fireworks fizz through the night's sky, showering their clusters of colours over Sleeping Beauty Castle. Flames and water work in perfect harmony to wow your senses with unexpected excellence."

The display usually lasts around 20 minutes, so gather your family members around the screen and settle in.

"Ready to be dazzled? Discover Disney stories young and old and (re)discover the magic of Disney Illuminations," the park says of their special virtual event.

To watch, simply head to Disneyland Paris's Facebook page here and be ready for 4pm.

Enjoy!

If you're truly missing all things Disneyland, why not experience the rides fro your sofa, too?

As spotted by Jezebel, it turns out that loads of people who previously visited Disney's Orlando site have documented their rollercoaster experiences - meaning you can ride along with them as if you're really there.

These virtual experiences include a trip on Space Mountain in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, a jolly It's A Small World boat ride in Fantasyland Magic Kingdom and a dip in the water at The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure.

Well, it's a good alternative until we can finally go back!
