New BTS footage and images and have been released from upcoming video game Cyberpunk 2077 starring Keanu Reeves, and we've never seen him like this before.
The Matrix actor has offered his likeness, voiceover and own movement to play the role of his digital character Johnny Silverhand in the game, and the resemblance is uncanny.
You can watch the video here:
It was revealed that 56-year-old Keanu would be playing the role of Johnny Silverhand in CD Projekt RED's upcoming sci-fi RPG back in June, and since then it has been revealed that he had such a good time in the role that he actually pushed for the character to play a much larger part, meaning we'll be getting twice as much of Mr Reeves as was originally planned.
Can't complain about that!
Speaking of his role in Cyberpunk 2077, Keanu says: "Motion Capture, baby! One of the first elements that I was involved in with the game was motion-capture. I've done a fair bit of motion capture, I did it in The Matrix films so to start doing motion capture for Johnny was all very familiar to me.
"The only difference I think technologically was how close they were going to real-time review. But creatively it was very familiar and sense of starting a library of gesture and the toolbox for the animators to work with for the character."
He continued: "So you get to see Johnny as a rockstar, you hear about his military past, and he's fighting for his survival. He's got all these things leading into the moment of this guy. It's really an interpretation because I think there's a Johnny Silverhand in all of us.
"He's got a lot of energy, he's got a good sense of humour, if not a little dark at times. He's very passionate, he cares, he's kinda naïve but also super experienced in life."
Cyberpunk 2077 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 10th, 2020, just in time for Christmas!
