There's now a Shrek HIIT workout in existence and if anything going it make us exercise IT. IS. THIS.
PT and dance instructor Emily Thorne has choreographed a 22-minute high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout to a whole host of songs from the classic DreamWorks movie.
The exercise pro has created a burn session soundtracked to the likes of 'I Need a Hero' by Bonnie Tyler, 'All Star' by Smash House, 'Funkytown' by Lipps, 'Like Wow!' by Leslie Carter and 'Best Years of Our Lives' by Baha Men.
You can watch it here:
The part workout part karaoke extravaganza is sure to get your blood pumping, with Emily teaching a mixture of cardio, strength and core exercises while bopping around to the excellent soundtrack.
And it seems people are already loving what Emily - who has been posting a ton of fun workouts since the start of lockdown - is offering.
"THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED THIS MORNING," wrote one fan.
"I'm a believer and I need a hero we're my favorites BY FAR. EMBRACE THE CORNY ITS SO MUCH FUN I LOVE IT," raved another.
"Just finished doing this and I absolutely loved it," said a third.
One added: "I never thought I'd be answering 'Doing a Shrek Workout' to my mom asking what I was doing. This was SO FUN! Thanks em! Killed it, so sweaty!"
Another fan agreed: "Absolutely loved this one!! it was so much fun!"
Another major lockdown hit was Emily's Disney 'HIIT Hop' workout.
It saw the PT team up with YouTuber That Disney Girl to creat a burn session soundtracked to the likes of 'Get'cha Head in the Game' from High School Musical, 'I'll Make a Man Out Of You' from Mulan, Hercules's 'Zero to Hero' and even 'What Dreams Are Made Of' from The Lizzie McGuire Movie. And it looks SO fun!
