The Internet Is Convinced Cardi B's Real Name Is 'Cardigan Backyardigan'

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last year, you'll know that Cardi B is an absolute queen.

The rap artist and former Love & Hip Hop star has become an Instagram sensation overnight, sold millions of records and still manages to keep it real.

She's known for saying it like it is, without much cause for who she offends in the process, and she's been candid about her past life - working as a stripper and being in a gang at the age of 16.

But while Cardi B has remained honest about pretty much every aspect of her life, the internet is convinced that the 25-year-old has been hiding a big, and somewhat hilarious secret.

A tweet, which has now gone viral, started doing the rounds earlier this week, claiming that Cardi B's full name is actually CardiganBackyardigan.

Oh, the internet is a wonderful place.

While most internet users have been left in stitches at the idea of someone as cool as queen Cardi actually having a name like that, it seems that the humour went over some people's heads.

One user even posted 'that's not true' with a screenshot of Cardi B alongside her real name, which is Belcalis Almanzar. I think this is called 'missing the joke', but fair play for their commitment to truth and accuracy at all times.

Queen Cardi is married to rapper Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus and together they have a child called Kulture Kiari Cephus. After taking that in, Cardigan Backyardigan suddenly seems a lot more plausible, doesn't it?

There is a theory that Offset and Cardi named their daughter Kulture because the last two of Offset's albums, released with his group Migos, were called Culture and Culture II.

Following that logic, surely they should have called the kid Culture III. Or are they going through the letters and the numbers?

Perhaps we'll have to wait until they have a second child - if it's called Kulture II, then we can see the pattern developing.
