But he sent her a super cute message on social media to show his support.

Posting on Tuesday, the day before she's due to perform, Fred wrote, "You are living your dream mon. We are all with you. Enjoy."

Up until this year, Fred is used to travelling around the world to watch his daughter in diving competitions.

"We've been everywhere from Singapore to Canada to Turkey," he told i.

"This year is the first year I can't travel and I have to say that watching her on TV during the Diving World Cup in Tokyo in May this year was the most nerve-wracking feeling I've ever had watching her dive."

"Normally because you're there you feel more a part of it, but watching on TV you feel completely powerless as a parent, it's very hard.

"I won't know whether to sit down, stand up or turn around."

Andrea was named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2020. She won a silver medal in the European Aquatics Championships in Budapest earlier this year alongside diving partner Noah Williams in the 10m mixed synchro.

We expect Fred will be glued to his telly...
