Princess Eugenie Shows Off Scar From Spinal Operation With Low Back Wedding Dress

Princess Eugenie wore a beautiful white Peter Pilotto gown when she tied the knot with Jack Brooksbank today, but the dress' shape has more meaning than you might think.
The royal dress has a gorgeous low v-neck back, which proudly showed off Eugenie's scare from an operation she had when she was 12.
Eugenie was reportedly keen to show off her scar, which is as a result of an operation she had to correct her scoliosis.

The Princess has spent a large part of her life raising awareness of the condition, even going on to become a patron at the hospital where she received the eight-hour operation.
Sixteen years later, Eugenie decided to wear a wedding dress that would purposely show off her scar, in the hopes it would honour the people who've helped her as well as inspiring others with the condition.

Earlier this week, Eugenie explained her decision on ITV's This Morning, telling hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: "I had an operation when I was 12 on my back, and you'll see on Friday [at the wedding], but it's a lovely way to honour the people who looked after me and a way of standing up for young people who also go through this.
"I think you can change the way beauty is, and you can show people your scars and I think it's really special to stand up for that."

Scoliosis affects three-to-four children in every 1,000 and is a condition that causes the spine to bend to one side, making the back appear curved.
