Love Island's Niall Aslam has released an emotional statement on what it's like to live with Asperger's Syndrome.
The former Islander first opened up about having the disorder several weeks after leaving the villa due to 'personal reasons'.
Niall took to Instagram to pen the heartfelt post, telling his fans he'd been taking medication to ease his anxiety, which he candidly revealed had been affecting his life since his stint on the ITV programme.
The fan favourite wrote: "As you all know around two months ago I shared with you my reasons for leaving Love Island and the struggles of day to day life living with Asperger's syndrome.

"Since leaving the Villa life I have had to confront other mental health concerns including anxiety which has left me unable to appear on live television and to see my fans.
"I have been taking medication as a short term fix but I am taking less every week and im battling to restore my self to the confident lad I was."

Just when he we thought we couldn't love him any more, the reality star continued: "I would not have been able to come so far if it wasn't for the love and support of the public your messages of support have been helping me through.
"Keep your eyes peeled as I'm sure you'll see me very soon. Always remember .... lay it on thick, be yourself and be confident to talk about mental health".
It goes without saying that after posting the candid message, Niall was inundated with comments of love and support, thanking him for speaking so honestly about his mental health.

One fan wrote: "So proud of you for your bravery about talking about it," while another added: "As someone who has Asperger's and anxiety I admire your courage. Ignore all the negative comments or opinions. Just be you because you rock!!"
A third inspired fan commented: "As a grandmother of a 13 year old Asperger's suffering grandson, I can't applaud you enough for speaking so candidly about this condition.
"You are a beautiful boy (our favourite in the villa) and I wish you all the love and peace in the world, just remember, it's more than ok to be a rainbow fish, stay strong and keep talking sweetheart."
