Prince William and Kate Middleton have sent their congratulations over to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, after the pair officially announced they'd welcomed daughter Lilibet Diana.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have been widely rumoured to have a frosty relationship with Harry and Meghan since the pair quit official royal duties to move to America last year, posted their well-wishes on their official Instagram page.

"We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili," they wrote.

"Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie."

Baby Lilibet was born on Friday 4th June, at 11.40am, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announcing the news on their Archewell website.

The statement reads: "It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world.
