Great British Bake Off's Nadiya Hussain has tied the knot with her husband Abdal 14 years after they married as strangers during an arranged marriage.

Nadiya shared some snapshots of the day on her Instagram yesterday and described the day as being just about love.

The couple wed in Bangladesh when Nadiya was just 19, after meeting each other only once.

Nadiya also shared a picture of the delicious looking cake which is what we were all waiting to see.

Abdal also wrote in sweet tweet: "You can't run away from me now. I love you to infinity and beyond Xxx."

Fans were quick to congratulate the couple. One wrote: "You two are my favourite celebrity couple. Just so lovely. Congratulations!"

Another added: "Congratulations - may your happiness increase with every year together."

A third wrote: "Oh congratulations to you both @nadiyajhussain, you are both the epitome of true love and family values."

Nadiya and Abdal have three children together, sons Musa, 10, and Dawud, nine, and daughter Maryam, six.

Despite meeting through an arranged marriage, Nadiya has previously said that she doesn't believe her children need her to find them a partner in the future.

She told Good Housekeeping magazine: "I didn't know my husband, and then we had two children, and then I fell in love with him."

Nadiya has also previously shared her secrets to a happy marriage with Women and Home magazine.

She said: "It's probably the same for every relationship - nothing is 50/50. If you're always trying to balance the scales, you're always going to be fighting each other.

"At some point in your relationship, somebody is always going to be giving a little bit more and somebody a little bit less, but as long as you've got the full 100 per cent together, who cares who's giving more and who's giving less?"
