Megan Barton-Hanson has taken to Instagram to accuse boyfriend Wes Nelson's Dancing On Ice partner of tactically breaking up with her boyfriend the day of their first show together.

Wes has been partnered with last year's winner Vanessa Bauer who announced before Sunday's show that she had split from her boyfriend.

The 22-year-old skater had been dating circus performer Louis Nathaniel for two and a half years but it was revealed that the pair had broken up and evidently Megan found the timing of the announcement suspicious.

Megan took to Instagram to call out Wes' partner. (

On her story she wrote: "@vanessbauer_skates love that you decide to announce your break up with your boyfriend on the night of your first performance with my boyfriend!

"You've never reached out to me once or invited me to watch you train, it pained you to introduce yourself to me last night you didn't even look me in the eye LOL!

"Hope the tactical break up got you the headlines you wanted babe."

Wes also had his say on the Dancing On Ice curse. (

Megan ended the message by tagging her boyfriend Wes along the kissing face emoji.

Although we are not sure if it is entirely related Wes also posted to his story to say that the 'Dancing On Ice curse is b*ll*cks'"

After a series of snaps defending Megan against critics who said she didn't smile while watching Wes on the skating competition Wes wrote: "Oh and give it a rest with this Dancing On Ice curse.

"B*ll*cks as well it's laughable", with a middle finger emoji.

During last night's show Wes and Vanessa shot to the top of the leader board ad the judges commented on what a lovely dancing couple they were.

Judge Christopher Dean said: "What a lovely looking couple - if you could choose two people on the ice this would be it."

Wes also joked about hoping 'there wasn't too much chemistry' during the training VT.

We hope this latest development doesn't spell trouble for our favourite Love Island couple and that relations between the two women warm up after this, er, frosty beginning.
