'Love Island' Fans Lose Their Heads As Chris And Maura Recreate 'Crazy, Stupid Love' In TikTok Challenge

Love Island fans are losing their minds over Chris Taylor and Maura Higgins' recreation of Crazy, Stupid Love in a TikTok challenge - which ended on the pair appearing to lean in for a kiss.

The ex-Islander duo, who insist they're just best friends, treated fans to the iconic dance lift scene performed by Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in the original movie - and we think it's fair to say they nailed it.

The clip shows Chris persuading an initially sleepy and unenthusiastic Maura into executing the perfect 'lift'.

In a move worthy of The Gosling, Chris even removes his top for the occasion.

Next, the pair appear to lean in for a smooch, just before the camera freezes.

The scene gives a nod to hit rom-com Crazy, Stupid Love, which in turn took inspiration from Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray's iconic life in Dirty Dancing.

Chris and Maura have been at the centre of romance rumours this year.

After fan-favourite Maura split from fellow former-Islander Curtis Pritchard, she was spotted leaving Chris' flat, but both parties have insisted their relationship is platonic.

In an interview with MailOnline, Maura said: "Chris is one of my best friends. A lot of people have said we're dating but it's only because we get on so well.

"We click and have the same banter. We got on so well in the villa but I don't think our friendship was shown at all."

Love Island fans promptly lost their heads, with some commenting that their pair should "be an item".

"Oh ffs be an item... both are too damn sexy together," wrote one.

"You two would be so good together," agreed another.

While another chimed in: "Looked like she wanted to kiss you back."

Best friends or otherwise, these two certainly have some moves.
