Laura Anderson Responds To Claims She Cheated On Paul Knops With Max Morley

Love Island's Laura Anderson has hit back at claims she cheated on ex, Paul Knops, with her new boyfriend, Max Morley.

"It's total nonsense," a spokesperson for Laura told MailOnline. "Paul broke up with her and weeks later she spoke to Max and then weeks after that they met up."

This comes after Paul hinted there might have been an overlap in the relationships, during an interview with FUBAR radio.

When host Lizzie Cundy asked how he felt about Laura's new romance, he said: "Funnily enough, I read something that said she had been secretly dating him for quite a few weeks and after we split up, I think that was about three weeks after I read that."

However, when asked whether he thought Laura would really do that, he responded: "I don't know if she had. I really don't know. I mean, it's fine. I made the decision so essentially if she goes and meets someone the next day, she's entitled to. You know?"

When rumours began, Laura took to Instagram to defend her actions, insisting that she's not a 'bitter ex.'

"Regarding today's press; I think it's quite clear from how I acted in the villa that I'm not a 'bitter ex,'" she wrote.

"Regardless of what has been inaccurately printed and what I was informed about Paul, I'm not the one selling stories on this matter.

"He is in the past which I'd like to keep that way. I've moved on, I'm happily seeing someone else which I have chosen to keep private. It really is just boring now."

Paul did end the interview by confirming that he and Laura are now on good terms, telling Lizzie: "You know everybody wanted to know what was going on with us afterwards. You know we had a bit of a funny five minutes, but we've spoken since then and if we see each other at events we say hi and see how each other are."
