Katy Perry let fans in on the emotional moment she told her grandmother she was pregnant on Monday.
The 35-year-old singer - who recently announced she was expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom, 43 - shared the exciting news with her beloved grandmother before she passed away this week.

Visiting the 99-year-old at her bedside, she can be heard saying: "Grandma, it's Katy. I just wanted to tell you, I know you're not feeling well, but I wanted to share some exciting news with you.
"I'm going to tell you that I'm going to have a baby. I'm pregnant, Grandma!
"Katy is finally pregnant, she's the last one, but I have a baby inside me and I wanted to tell that to you."

The mum-to-be opened up further about her grandmother's death during an appearance on Australia's The Project on Tuesday (9th March).
"In my immediate family, it is the first time we've dealt with a loss. And she was 99, and I got to say goodbye and tell her that I was with child before I came to Australia, actually," she told hosts.

"I knew there was a chance while I was here she would pass on. But I don't believe that anyone ever leaves us. I think her soul is still around and I feel it very much so."
"'And it is interesting, one soul is coming into the world another soul is departing. I said on my Instagram post if there is a waiting room for the coming and going, I hope grandma kisses the soul on the forehead."
The interview comes after Katy announced her grandmother had passed away earlier this week on Twitter, sharing a link to her emotional song 'Deep Peace', adding: "a song for Grandma. May she rest in deep peace. Ann Pearl Hudson".
Alongside the moving video clip, Katy also a shared string of several sweet pictures of her grandma, writing: "I don't know when a soul enters a new vehicle but if there is an afterlife where there's a waiting room of the coming and going my mind wonders if the soul that is waiting to come into my world is getting a kiss on the forehead from my sweet Grandma that departed this earth yesterday. My heart hopes so."

Katy first announced her pregnancy news in a music video for her new song, 'Never Worn White', as she cradled her baby bump.
The pop star then officially confirmed the news in a social media live stream."I am excited, we're excited, and happy. It's probably the longest secret I've ever had to keep," she told her fans at the time.
Katy and Orlando are reported to have started dating in early 2016. It wasn't until May that they became 'official' with Katy posting a snap of the pair on her Instagram.
The pair briefly split in 2017 before reuniting a few months later and announcing their engagement on Valentine's Day 2019.
