Kanye West gave his wife, Kim Kardashian, a very touching present for her 40th birthday. The rapper and 2020 Presidential candidate surprised Kim with a hologram of her father, the late Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003 from oesophageal cancer at the age of 59.

Kim described the gift as "the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime" in celebration of her birthday from her husband of six years.

"A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. :sparkles: It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion," wrote the KUWTK star, who shared a video of the hologram with her Twitter and Instagram followers on Thursday.

Kim captioned the touching video: "I can't even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together. Thank you so much Kanye for this memory that will last a lifetime."

"Remember when I would drive you to school in my tiny Mercedes and we would listen to this song together," he says before dancing to the 1961 doo-wop classic 'Who Put The Bomp' by Barry Mann.

"You look just like when you were a little girl. I watch over you, your sisters and brothers and your kids everyday. Sometimes I drop hints when I'm around.

"I am so proud of the woman you have become and all that you have accomplished."

According to TMZ, Kanye delivered the sentimental gift to his wife of six-years and her family during their recent trip to Marlon Brando's The Brando Resort in Tahiti.

Other sources told TMZ that Kanye spent a lot of time watching old video and audio of Robert to bring the vision to life.

Artificial intelligence was also reportedly used to finish off the project, which Kanye started in early September in time for Kim's big day on 21st October.

Earlier in the week Kim found herself in hot water and was called "tone deaf" on social media after she posted about celebrating her 40th birthday party on a private island.

The star took to Twitter to tell fans how she managed to take "her closest inner circle" away for a lavish party after "multiple health screens" and two weeks of quarantine to celebrate her birthday away from Covid-19 regulations.

Happy birthday Kim!
