Jason Momoa shared some adorable pictures with his gran on Instagram, and fans couldn't get enough.

Aquaman star Jason Momoa has shared a series of sweet snaps from a photoshoot of him and his grandma on Instagram.

Jason is famously a family man and these recent pictures prove just how much he loves his grandma.

One of the photos showed Jason cuddling up to his gran while smiling for the camera and the other shows the pair sat beside each other looking out of the window.

Alongside the series of images, the actor wrote: "Needed to come home to Iowa and give my grams some aloha Love u forever grandma#Mabel#thematriarch #raisedbywomen #loveuma#hawaiianiowan. HAWAII backwards is IIAWAH. IOWA Aloha."

Mamoa described his gran as a matriarch, clearly showing that he has a lot of respect for the special women in his life.

The actor's fans flooded his Instagram with comments as soon as the snaps were shared.

One of his 9.3 million followers wrote: "So precious! Make every moment a treasured memory!"

Another follower said: "You're blessed having your grand Ma and it's great you take the chance to visit her!"

While a third added: "I need no more reasons to love Jason Momoa. However, this sincerely ups my respect and warms my heart."

Mamoa is no stranger to making his feelings known on Instagram as the actor took to social media to thank fans and viewers for making Aquaman so successful.

In a video on Instagram he said: "I just want to say aloha, I love you, to all my fans and friends, and to everyone who has supported Aquaman, the number one movie in the world.

"I'm very proud of this movie, and it's better the second time, so enjoy. And if you haven't seen it two times, please do."
