Love Island's Jack Fowler has claimed that his co-star Jack Fincham 'could have easily found himself involved in drugs like his estranged father'.

The reality star, who was dumped from the Island with Laura Crane shortly before the finale, made the shock claims while on the red carpet at the film premiere of The Festival.

Jack Fincham's biological dad Mark Gard was allegedly put behind bars for running a nationwide cocaine empire, according to the Sun, and the Love Island star has since cut all ties with him.

Speaking to the tabloid on Monday evening, Jack Fowler heaped on the praise for his former Love Island roomie.

"I think everyone has a past and the fact that Jack has turned out the way he's turned out, irrespective of his father's past, is credit to his family around him," said Jack.

"I think it could've been easy to go down his dad's route but he didn't."

He added: "He's a lovely guy I love him to bits and the fact he's doing what he's doing I think just shows how much family and support is around him."

Jack Fincham finally met his future father-in-law, Danny Dyer over the weekend, with the former stationery salesman and EastEnders actor bonding over a takeaway.

Appearing on This Morning on Monday, Jack opened up about what it was like to finally meet Dani Dyer's dad, and it sounds like he was just as nervous as the rest of us would be.

"Yeah I met him, he's lovely. We had a nice takeaway together," explained the 26-year-old to hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.

And it isn't Mr Dyer to Jack either, as the pair are already on a first name basis.

"I stuck with Danny, [and then called him] Dan, he was lovely though, kinda similar to my family. Very welcoming," added the reality star.
