Dr Alex George has sparked rumours he's 'coupled up' with Olympic snowboarder Aimee Fuller after a series of cosy snaps were uploaded to Instagram.

The 27-year-old, who was notoriously unlucky in love during his stint in the Love Island villa, met the Olympian at the David Cup in Glasgow at the weekend.

Since their meeting, Aimee - who is also 27, has uploaded a number of pictures of them together, including an impressive workout snap of Aimee doing a handstand while supporting herself on Alex's knees.

Alongside a selfie of the pair, Aimee wrote: "Went to Scotland. Wore a suit. Watched Great Britain win Day 2 of the #daviscup + met a doctor who loves snowboarding!"

In fact, Alex and Aimee got along so well that they met up again on Monday at a London boat club, where Alex bragged about working out with a 'two-timeOlympian'.

Just when people could be forgiven for thinking they're just two people who like to exercise, Alex also uploaded a snap of himself enjoying a meal with Aimee fueling further speculation that the TV doctor has finally found love outside the villa.

Dr Alex was criticised during his time in the villa when he called time on his budding romance with Alexandra Cane however a former Islander has since hinted that Alexandra's intentions weren't as true as they came across.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Adam Collard hinted that Alexandra used Alex's popularity for a chance to win the £50,000 prize fund.

"Everyone loved Dr Alex. Who would you go for if you went in and you wanted to get to the final - at that point, who would you go for?," he suggested.

"Dr Alex went in there to find someone. He was the most genuine guy in there. He's far more intelligent than anyone else, I reckon he would've [realised] that Alexandra was not into him.

"If Dr Alex had fell in love, he would've won."
