'Game Of Thrones' Fans Raise Money For One Of Kit Harington's Favourite Charities

Kit Harington fans are raising funds for the actor's endorsed charity to thank him for his "absolutely fantastic performance" over eight seasons of Game of Thrones.
A Just Giving page has been created by one of the actor's millions fans to raise money for Mencap, a charity which supports people with learning disabilities to help them live independent and fulfilling lives.
The Just Giving page, which is titled Honouring Kit Harington's dedication and commitment to Game of Thrones reads: "Kit Harington has given so much to the fans of Game of Thrones over the past decade playing the King in the North, Jon Snow.
"He absolutely nailed his performance and we loved every second of screentime we had with him.
"This fundraiser is here to show Kit that we're incredibly thankful to him for the sheer amount of love and skill he put into Jon Snow for us to enjoy.
"To show our gratitude, we'd like to contribute to the charity Mencap, which Kit has been supporting for several years.
"Mencap support people with learning disabilities to live independent and fulfilling lives. For more information on Kit's history and link to Mencap, please visit [here]."
As a Reddit thread training to gain traction for the post further explains: "This is a topic that is close to Kit's heart as his cousin Laurant has a learning disability."
Impressively, fans have already managed to raise over £8,000 out of a hoped £50,000 total for the charity.
"Kit is 100% amazing, and so is this charity!" commented one charitable person who donated, while another echoed: "For Kit and your amazing goal."

Kit starred in GoT as Jon Snow from start to finish of the total eight seasons, and gained a massive, loyal fan base throughout. What an amazing cause.
