Some followers assumed Dean's twin daughters were his sisters.

There are certain celebs that we simply can't accept are real life, fully-fledged adults.

EastEnders star Dean Gaffney is a great example. To us, he'll always be bumbling, shiny-faced Robbie Jackson from the hit soap.

Yep, what his curly mop and youthful hang-dog face, Dean has merged with his character and is somehow forever young.

In our minds, his responsibilities consist of looking out for sister Sonia and beloved 'Enders pooch Wellard.

That's no surprise, perhaps, given his long-standing relationship with the soap. He first appeared on EastEnders way back in 1993.

But just like the rest of us, the 42-year-old (yep, really!) actor is self-isolating at home with his loved ones.

On Monday, the actor shared an adorable selfie of himself with his twin daughters, Chloe and Charlotte, 23, enjoying the warm weather in the garden.

"Family really is everything at this time," Dean captioned the cute family portrait.

Instagrammers were left in disbelief that the baby-faced soap star had grown-up daughters.

"Can't believe you have 2 grown up girls," commented one follower, clearly taken aback.

"I thought they were ur sisters," commented another surprised fan. "Beautiful girls you have."

"Are they your girls??" Asked another shocked commentator. "Wow they grow up fast."

That's right folks - Dean may not have a line on his face but he does have two twenty-something-year-old children to look out for during lockdown and beyond.

Earlier in the month, the EastEnders star took to Instagram to share with fans that he believed he had contracted coronavirus.

The actor had lost his sense of taste and smell, leading him to conclude he may have the virus.

"I haven't been able to smell or taste for 5 days... oh s**t," he wrote, referring to new symptoms linked to COVID-19 by the NHS and government.

Thankfully, Dean looks healthy and happy in the family snapshot he shared - and we couldn't agree more with his caption.
