Emma Stone and her boyfriend Dave McCary are officially engaged after two years of dating.

The Spiderman and La La Land actress, 31, and the Saturday Night Live writer, 34, beamed as they confirmed the news on social media on Wednesday, and showed off Emma's stunning rock on Wednesday night.

In the selfie, uploaded on Dave's Instagram alongside a single heart emoji, Emma is holding her brand new pearl ring up to the camera as she hugs her new fiancé close.

Naturally, the pair were instantly flooded with messages of congratulations from their fans and famous friends.

Bumblebee actor Jorge Lendeborg wrote: "Love is real!?", while comedian Jacqueline Novak responded with a string of pink love-hearts.

The House and Revolutionary Road star Ryan Simpkins added: "Wow yes love exists!!," as former world number one US tennis player Billie Jean King gushed: "Congratulations to two of the most wonderful, loving, and creative people we know."

SO sweet.

The couple met when Emma hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2016, and went on to work on a sketch together called Wells for Boys, which Dave wrote and directed.

They first went public with their relationship back in October 2017 after three months of dating, and have been happily together ever since.

The engagement comes as Emma and Dave have been dating for the last two years.

While they have been relatively low-key about their relationship, Emma and Dave have made rare public appearances together, including a recent trip to the MET Gala.

The engagement shouldn't come as that much of a surprise to Emma's fans, as she recently told Elle she was thinking about starting a family.

"My perspective about kids has changed as I've gotten older. I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I'm never getting married, I'm never having kids,' she said.

"And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids."

Before Dave, Emma famously dated Spiderman co-star Andrew Garfield for four years.

In 2015, they announced their separation but told fans that they remained close friends.

Congrats to Emma and her new fiancé!
