Eminem's Performance Of 'Lose Yourself' Surprised Everyone At Last Night's Oscars

The biggest surprise of the night was Eminem's rocking up on stage.

Eminem took to the stage at the Oscars last night in a surprise performance - and while many loved it, it didn't seem to go down well with everyone in attendance.

The rapper, 47, performed cult classic, Lose Yourself, but several well known faces in the audience seemed to have no clue what was going on or why he was performing.

One of those was 77-year-old director, Martin Scorsese who barely reacted to the performance, with a hilarious, expressionless, seemingly unimpressed face.

It wasn't just the more mature attendees who didn't know what to do with themselves either, because Idina Menzel looked shocked to her core, like it was the first time she'd ever heard the track.

Someone tweeted about her reaction: "Billie Eilish and Idina Menzel's reaction to Eminem is all of us rn #Oscars".

Personally we love the classic track, it's old school Slim Shady stuff that never gets old.

Plus, if you're a big Eminem fan you'll know that this exact song won an Oscar back in 2003 for Best Original Song - he certainly deserved his slot on the stage.

And we weren't the only fans, because some were definitely big time into the performance, singing along in the crowd, no doubt one of which was his long time friend Elton John.

Eminem even snapped a pick of the pair backstage at the 92nd Academy Award.

His surprise segment started with a montage of memorable songs from movies and they he headed onto the stage - his song starred in his movie 8 Mile.
