Emily Blunt moved John Krasinski to tears as she gushed over her husband while making an emotional speech at Sunday's star-studded SAG Awards.

The actress accepted her win for her role as 'Best Supporting Actress' in A Quiet place, which Krasinski also wrote, directed and starred in.

Also up for the same award were Amy Adams, Margot Robbie, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz.

Blowing her beau a kiss from the stage, the Mary Poppins Returns star said: "I am going to share this completely with my husband, John Krasinski, because the entire experience of doing this with you has completely pierced my heart directly."

Fighting back the tears, Emily continued: "You are a stunning filmmaker. I'm so lucky to be with you and to have done this film with you.

"Thank you for giving me the part. You would have been in major trouble if you hadn't."

John and Emily, who share two children together, portrayed parents in the critically acclaimed movie which saw them living in a post-apocalyptic world with blind monsters with an acute sense of hearing.

The actress also paid tribute to their two daughters - Hazel and Violet - in her speech, calling them their "two little poems" and joking that they'll have to be about 45 before they are allowed to watch the scary flick.

Speaking backstage at the SAG Awards after her win, Emily reflected: "[John] probably was as shocked as I was. It was very unexpected - an incredible category and certainly not something I planned for.

"I think he was just overjoyed. His face was a bit of a blur to me, but I'll find out how he felt when I see him."

'Best Supporting Actress' wasn't Emily's only nomination, as she was also up for 'Leading Actress' during the prestigious 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards.
