Congratulations are in order for Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn who have just welcomed their first child.
The 'Shape of You' singer shared the happy news with fans over on Instagram, sharing their newborn daughter's beautiful name - Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.

"A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you," started the 29-year-old mega star.
"Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter - Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
"We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time.

Ed broke a nine-month-long social media hiatus to share the joyful news and we for one are so happy about it.

The couple never officially announced Cherry's pregnancy, but fans speculated the couple were expecting after she was spotted with a hint of a bump earlier this year.
Ed and Cherry have been dating since 2015 and married in an intimate ceremony in 2018.
While Lyra's arrival is great news for the family, it might not bode so well for fans of Ed's music.
The singer - who last released his album Divide in 2017 - told the Daily Star a while back: "My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids. I'm going to be like, 'I do not really care anymore as I have another life to take care of'."

He added: "It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, I want to be a good father."
