Cheryl has claimed she's finished with dating as her son is the only man she needs in her life, following her split from Liam Payne.

The former Girls Aloud star told Jessie Ware her love life was over while speaking on her podcast, Table Manners.

"I know what I want in life, but in the romantic area, I am not as evolved," Cheryl told her. "That area has stopped. It's not happening anymore. It's the end. It's the end."

When Jessie said to her: "Nooo, you're too beautiful," Cheryl responded with: "I've got the man in my life now," referring to her beloved son, Bear.

This comes after fans were convinced Cheryl had taken a swipe at her ex-boyfriend in her new single, Love Made Me Do It, which comes out on Friday.

"I fall in love with every f*cker, I am a dreamer. I believe things that are not really happening. I'm very romantic," she sings.

However, Cheryl has refuted claims she was writing about Liam, insisting they were written before she and Liam had split, and they're not about any man.

The mum-of-one also revealed some unheard lyrics to Jessie, which read: "I'm falling in love several times, I'm on number seven of my nine lives. The ink on my skin marks the places I've been..."

When Jessie praised Cheryl for answering her critics through her lyrics, Cheryl said: "I just think it's a bit tongue in cheek. I don't care enough to answer them. It's a bit nurnurnanurnur, I guess," citing what kids say to each other in the playground.

During the candid chat, Jessie reminisced on the time she went up to Cheryl and her then-boyfriend, Liam Payne, at the BRITs afterparty back in February.

"I was so rude to Liam, I told him he had bad mic technique," she joked.

"Well, I like straight talking," Cheryl replied. It's just as well really.
