'You' Season 3 Story is Now Complete
Now, Caroline Kepnes, the author behind the books the show is based on, has revealed the third novel is now complete - meaning the countdown to Season 3 is officially on!
While previously Caroline's bio had read: "I'm writing a third Joe book. And a fourth", it's now been updated to read: "Yes, I finished writing the third Joe Goldberg book."
Responding to a fan's tweet, she also added: "You3 is done and I know I keep saying 'soonish' but it's truly so done that I saw possible covers last week.
"Your patience in a pandemic means the world to me. Thank you for waiting! Soonish he's yours. Also spoiler alert. In You3 Joe bitches about the word 'soonish'."

So how long before we have to wait until devilish Joe Goldberg is back on our screens?
Well, production has already begun on the third instalment. Back in February, show writer Sera Gamble shared the exciting news that the You team are already working on the next season.
"We've started work on season 3. Just thought you'd want to know," she wrote alongside a photo of a door mat baring the words 'hello You' with the show's logo.
While it's not currently known when Season 3 will air, Sera has dropped a few clues on that, too. Joining our friends at LADbible for an exclusive Ask Me Anything, Sera replied to a fan's question about when the next instalment would air.
"We just opened the writers' room for season 3 of You," she said.
"We're aiming for early 2021 but these things are always a little hard to pin down til we're close to ready. I will say: the new season is already BONKERS."
As a recap, the second season saw murderous duo Joe and Love move out to the suburbs, with the final scene closing on Joe spying on a woman nextdoor.
Peeping behind his garden fence, Joe says he'll be seeing his new neighbour "soon". Creepy.
We can't wait to find out who the mystery woman is, and fans have already been coming up with their own theories, with many thinking it could be Joe's mother.
One fan penned: "As an aside - having now finished Season 2 of @YouNetflix last night, am I alone in thinking the neighbour at the end might be Joe's mother? #YouNetflix".
"Am I the only who think that the woman at the ending of You season 2 is Joe's mother..? Heh," another shared.
We'll have to wait and see... but hopefully it won't be too long!
