With kids across the country staying at home due to the coronavirus outbreak, parents and teachers are constantly looking for new ways to keep them both educated and entertained.

And now, JK Rowling has launched online Harry Potter classes to help keep kids busy during lockdown.

'Harry Potter at Home' is an online hub filled with activities and resources for kids to enjoy while they're off school.

Taking to Twitter to announce the launch yesterday, Rowling wrote: "Parents, teachers and carers working to keep children amused and interested while we're on lockdown might need a bit of magic, so I'm delighted to launch harrypotterathome.com."

The incredible resource will 'bring Hogwarts to you' via a series of puzzles, activities and reading materials.

"You'll find all the latest magical treats to keep you occupied," the website reads.

"Including special contributions from Bloomsbury and Scholastic, nifty magic craft videos (teach your friends how to draw a Niffler!), fun articles, quizzes, puzzles and plenty more for first-time readers, as well as those already familiar with the wizarding world.

"We're casting a Banishing Charm on boredom!"

Other activities include discovering your Hogwarts house, as well as having access to the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone audio book, thanks to Audible.

It's available to listen to for free in six different languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Japanese).

And if you're looking for more Harry Potter themed ideas to keep your kids entertained, you can now visit Hogwarts castle from the comfort of your sofa with a virtual HP ride.

Thanks to Undercover Tourist, you can virtually visit the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Universal Studios in the US without even moving.

In a video available to watch on YouTube, Potterheads can experience a trip around Hogwarts, visiting Dumbledore in his office and listening to paintings nattering around them. Click here to experience the ride for yourself.
