PSA: the living legend that is Julie Andrews is launching her very own podcast.

Yep, the Sound of Music and Mary Poppins star is branching into the world of audio to co-host a book-themed podcast with her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton.

Anyone else excited to hear Julie's oh-so-comforting tones coming through their earphones? Talk about childhood nostalgia!

The podcast, titled Julie's Library: Story Time With Julie Andrews lands April 29th and will see the mother-daughter duo dive into the world of storytelling.

Listeners will be able to join the pair every Wednesday and "settle into the reading nook" to hear a new book.

Julie and Emma have penned over 30 children's books between them. The podcast will explore them in turn - but the series is aimed at people of all ages.

Dame Julie took to Instagram to announce the new venture, posting a mega cute pic of herself in front of an illustrated book shelf.

She wrote: "I am absolutely delighted to share a sneak preview @JuliesLibraryShow, my upcoming #storytime #podcast co-hosted by my daughter, author Emma Walton Hamilton."

"Starting April 29th, you can join us every Wednesday to hear a new #book. We can't wait to read with you! Listen on #ApplePodcasts at the link in our profile."

Seriously, this is the wholesome, comforting entertainment we need during lockdown.

Needless to say, Julie's followers were thrilled with the news.

"How amazing, can't wait to have a listen," agreed a third.

Talking about the upcoming podcast, Julie said: "As a child, I read anything and everything I could get my hands on. There was no greater joy for me than to curl up with a good read."

"Books transported me away from the World War II Blitz and into the realm of my imagination and other worlds and ideas.

"When I became a parent, I passed the love of reading on to my children. Our shared passion for the power of storytelling, literacy, and the arts remains fervent."
