Is There Going To Be A Kissing Booth 4 On Netflix?

Is There Going To Be A Kissing Booth 4 On Netflix?

Surely this can't be the end?

The Kissing Booth 3 dropped on Netflix on 11th August and fans are really hoping this isn't the end of an era.

As high school and college can't last forever, Netflix did market the third movie as the end of an era - but fans can take comfort in the fact that we've seen the streaming giant say that before and then come up with the goods. We could perhaps seen a spin-off series at the very least following such a successful trilogy.

Spoiler alert! If you haven't seen TKB 3 yet, you might want to skip the next two paragraphs.

The third instalment of this feel-good teenage rom-com sees Elle Evans (Joey King) faced with a decision about her future. Does she go to Harvard to join her boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi)? Or will she keep her childhood promise to her bestie (and Noah's brother) Lee (Joel Courtney) and head to Berkeley for college with him? And of course, there's also the incredibly hot new boy Marco Peña (Taylor Zakhar Perez) in the picture now too - what happens there?

Inevitably, Elle faces some tough decisions throughout the movie which puts a strain on her relationship with Noah and her friendship with Lee. She'll realise that it's impossible to make everybody happy and everything comes to a blow. But life moves on and it all ends well - for the characters anyway, the rest of us have been sobbing into our cereal after that ending!

So, with Elle embarking upon her exciting new college career, it's not like there isn't a new storyline there for a fourth film. And considering the popularity of the movie, really, Netflix has no excuse to close the book on TKB now.

The Kissing Booth 4 release date

Let's say Netflix does come to its senses and decides to make a fourth film, we could see it on our TV screens at the earliest by August 2022. That's going by the 13-month timeframe between the second and third films being released.

The first TKB was released on 11th May 2018. Two years later, the second film dropped on 24th July 2020. While the second movie was still being filmed, Netflix had already confirmed there would be a third Kissing Booth, which followed just a year later on 11th August 2021.

So, given that Netflix hasn't yet said anything about a fourth movie, it's more likely that we'll see TKB 4 some time in 2023.

It of course depends on cast schedules too. Speaking of which, who might we see in the cast of the fourth movie? The Kissing Booth 4 trailer

As TKB 4 hasn't even been confirmed yet, there is no trailer. But should that change we'll let you know.

The Kissing Booth 4 cast

Should TKB 4 actually happen, obviously Joey King would reprise her role as the main character, Elle. We'd also expect to see her sidekick Lee (Joel Courtney), Noah (Jacob Elordi), and given that bombshell ending with Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez), he'd surely be making a comeback too.

Other than that, we would likely see Molly Ringwald reprise her role as Mrs Flynn and Morné Visser as Mr Flynn. Elle's dad, played by Stephen Jennings, would also be back to offer Elle some more fatherly advice.

By the time a fourth film arrives, Elle's little brother (Carson White) could be reaching his high school years, so could we be seeing him take centre stage?

We could also see Maisie Richardson-Sellers return as Noah's college mate Chloe, and Meganne Young as Lee's girlfriend, Rachel.

Of course, this is all just speculation now and at the moment it appears that Netflix and TKB stars have shut the door on the trilogy. Never say never though.
