Love Island started back last night with 11 new singletons embarking upon a summer of love. Meanwhile, the internet was blowing up with memes from viewers reacting to the first episode.
And while fans couldn't wait to hear 'I got a text!' once again after an 18-month break from the show, what they weren't expecting to hear Toby Aromolaran say was "I've got a voice note."
'I've got a text!' is the elite, original Love Island catchphrase.
While some found it entertaining, others weren't happy about the switch-up.

Here are some of the reactions.
Twitter user @stacecombellack posted a GIF of Homer Simpson backing away into a bush and captioned it: "Nooooo if they make "I've got a voice note" a thing I'm out."
A Love Island fan account wrote: "Why is the voice note so awkward?"
"The cringe I felt hearing that voice note my god a can't be arsed," tweeted another.

""I've got a voice note" ?????? [WHAT] IS THIS. WHERE'S THE "I've got a text!!" Said another, with a photo of former Love Island star Maura Higgins looking confused.
"Us waiting for 'guys I got a text' wrote @lewisa95.
"'I got a voice not' You got a what..." said @jadasreality.
This one had us chuckling...
Is 'I got a voice note' a thing now?
Well, we already know it's not going to catch on with viewers, and considering the show's producers have just released a new game called Love Island Obsessives - and keep up to date with the latest drama.

ing/53021-love-island-app-i-got-a-text-20210608">'I Got A Text!', we doubt they'll be replacing the original saying.
So it's safe to say they're just messing guys, don't worry.
Love Island is on weeknights at 9pm on ITV Hub . The episodes are available to stream on BritBox the following morning.
