After a recent post to Instagram, the 27-year-old was overwhelmed with comments from fans who were "concerned" about her wellbeing.

In the photo, Jung Ho-yeon wears a black gown with a low neckline that shows off her chest and torso.

Some followers commented that the Squid Game star looked rather underweight in the photo and shared that they were "worried about her."

While a majority of comments came from a good place, posting well-intentioned reminders to stay healthy, other comments were not so kind.

"Stop body shaming. It's her body. And she is beautiful just the way she is," wrote one fan.

"I definitely hope she does get back on track but a lot of the comments are not it. they definitely won’t make her feel better," commented another.

In previous interviews, Jung has addressed concerns with her weight loss, admitting that she "didn't have any time" to eat since moving to the United States.

According to Korean news outlet AllKPop, Jung had said: "So, I lose way too much weight. All the clothes that used to fit me when I fist came here are too loose now."

In another interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jung revealed that she lost six pounds when Squid Game first took off.

The series quickly became Netflix's most-watched show, recording 142 million households tuning in across the first four weeks of its release.

Responding to the show's success, Jung said: "I couldn't eat - it wasn't stress, I just didn't know this feeling. I was kind of losing myself."

Squid Game was Jung Ho-yeon's first professional acting gig.

Before she was cast in the series, she was best known for her successful modelling career in Korea, having walked for major brands like Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Fendi.
