Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about the £800,000 burglary of her Manchester flat, describing the incident as “the worst thing that’s ever happened to me”.

The Love Island star, 22, updated her followers in a lengthy YouTube vlog which she titled ‘Let’s Talk’, and found herself getting emotional when discussing the burglary, where it was reported over £800,000 worth of goods were stolen.

Wiping away tears, Molly added the incident has made her reconsider just how much of her life she will now choose to share online.

“One of the emotions I have been dealing with is guilt,” she said. “Seeing a lot of opinions on social media about why we got robbed, I started to think: ‘Was this my fault?’

“Things are going to have to change now. It’s really hard to find that balance of sharing, but then also keeping my life private so I stay safe.

“I think I potentially maybe lost that.”

Taking a pause, Molly-Mae added: “Karma will come for the people that did it. It’s evil.”

When reading a question about why she and boyfriend Tommy Fury decided to move out and not return to their luxury apartment, Molly-Mae started to tear up.

“Honestly, I’ve never understood someone to have an emotional connection with an apartment, it’s so strange,” she said, wiping her eyes.

“The saddest part of this whole situation was moving out the apartment for me. It’s not the things that were taken. That apartment was literally my happy place.”

Molly added the pair moved the moment they heard about the break-in, explaining: “After what happened we haven't stayed a night there since.

“We were absolutely forced out, we couldn't stay there anymore. Too many people knew where we lived. How can I sleep there at night if ever Tommy goes away? It wouldn't be possible.”
