Little Mix have told fans that they will be taking a break as a band in 2022.
In a tweet, the girl group announced: "We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix."
The Brit winners continued: "It’s been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects. We can’t thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much."
They then assured fans: "We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future. We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more."

After Jesy Nelson left the group in 2020, the remaining members Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock released multiple singles as a trio as well as their album Between Us in November 2021.

One person quote tweeted the announcement: "I saw this coming but I wasn't ready for this and I won't ever be. I can't describe in words how much their music mean to me. I wish happiness and success for their new venture and I know they'll slay. I'll be hopeful for the reunion. Don't break my heart like 1D did lol :")".
One Mixer also said they would continue to support the members: "ill support each girl no matter what happens. im just gonna miss u girls together so much".
"Rather than be sad their time as a group is coming to an end (for now), I’m thankful for the past 10 years of memories and excited to see what each of them will do in a solo capacity. With the added bonus of knowing at some point they’ll come back to LM."
