Kylie Jenner Faces Backlash Over 'Disturbing' Social Media Post

Kylie Jenner has made some of her followers feel uncomfortable after posting an extremely graphic snap to promote her new Halloween-themed collection.

The makeup mogul's ad for her Kylie x Nightmare on Elm Street collection has been dubbed 'disturbing', which features the reality star giving a smoldering pose while nude and covered in fake blood.

The 24-year-old shared the shocking images, inspired by the horror franchise Nightmare on Elm Street, with her 275 million followers.

Kylie’s fans rushed to the the comments to call-out Kylie’s post and question Instagram’s community guidelines. 

“This is kind [of] disturbing especially since you’re pregnant,” wrote one Kylie fan. “But that’s just my opinion. Doesn’t matter.”

A woman responded to this concerned commenter, writing: “I felt exactly the same. Plus it’s triggering.”

Another person in the comment said: “This needs a warning.”

While another follower shared: “Low key disturbing.”

And one other person wrote: “Honestly I find this really disturbing since she’s pregnant.”

The new collection is made up an eyeshadow palette and a variety of new lip gloss shades that are sold in packaging that is meant to look like it has been splattered with blood.

Kylie, who recently announced she is pregnant with her second child, teased the impending release last week before the images dropped with a short clip of her writhing and caressing her body with fake blood.

She captioned the post: "Can you guess who we collaborated with this year for halloween? collection reveal coming today @kyliecosmetics (sic)".

Before taking to Instagram to post her frightening campaign, Kylie's sister Khloe filmed as a "blood splattered" van travelled through the streets with the new items in tow.

The collection is set to drop on 12th October ahead of Halloween on 31st October.
