Evan Rachel Wood Sends Love To Rape Survivors After Marilyn Manson Features On Kanye West's Album

The release of West’s long-awaited Donda has proved controversial.

Evan Rachel Wood has slammed Marilyn Manson’s appearance on Kanye West’s new album in a public performance.

Controversial rapper Kanye, 44, held an event marking the release of his hotly-anticipated tenth album, Donda, and drew criticism for inviting shock rocker Manson and inflammatory rapper DaBaby onto stage with him for a performance.

In a song titled Jail, Pt. 2, Manson joins Kanye singing the refrain, with the lyrics: “Guess I’m going to jail tonight.”

While Manson has since been dropped by his record label and his booking agent, Kanye has still given the ‘Beautiful People’ singer a co-writing credit, leading to backlash online.

Actor Evan, who accused Manson of “horrific abuse” back when they were in a relationship between 2007-2010, has now hit back while performing at a gig under her musical outfit Evan + Zane.

Singing a cover of New Radicals’ classic hit You Get What You Give in Hollywood’s The Bourbon Room, Evan put her middle finger in the air as she sang: “Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson/ … Marilyn Manson/We’ll all come right to your mansions/Come on, we’ll kick your ass in!”

Sharing her performance on Instagram, Evan captioned her post: “You get what you give. For my fellow survivors who got slapped in the face this week. I love you. Don't give up.”

Having previously discussed having had an abusive partner, Evan publicly named Manson, real name Brian Warner, as her abuser in February.

Several other women stepped forward to accuse Manson of abuse, with the singer now facing a number of lawsuits.

Manson has denied all allegations put to him, writing on his own Instagram page, saying all his relationships had been consensual.

“Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality,” he wrote.

“My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
