Dani Dyer Breaks Silence On Being A Single Mum As Ex Partner Is Jailed

Dani Dyer has opened up about life as a single parent, after her ex partner Sammy Kimmence was jailed earlier this year.

Discussing parenthood with her dad, Danny Dyer, on their 'Sorted with the Dyers' podcast, Dani described being a single mum as 'difficult'.

“It’s difficult. If there’s two of you in a house, you can just go ‘oh run him a bath’ or ‘quickly make a bottle whilst I'm doing this’," Dani explained.

"But I suppose now it’s a bit different because I don't have to worry about cooking dinner. I can just make myself a quick salad you know.

"If you are in a relationship you do just have to keep that going, you’ve still got to give them love and attention, whereas at the end of the day I can just chill. But it is difficult being a parent.

"I know I’m very lucky with the job that we do, but there are days where it is difficult because I’ve got to film stuff or do Instagram work, it’s juggling it all around.

"I’m lucky I’ve got you and mummy to look after Santi for me, or else I think I would really struggle.”

Dad Danny added: “You’ve also carved out a career where actually it is mostly on your phone, so you’ve got to make sure you don’t rush it.

"But it's great as you don’t have to leave your gaff, you can do it whilst Santi naps. Honestly, that time when you have kids is so precious.”

In July, Kimmence was sentenced to over three and a half years in prison after duping pensioners out of their savings.

Vulnerable pensioners Peter Martin, 91, and Peter Haynes, 81, were persuaded by Kimmence, 25, to 'invest' their savings, which he then used to shell out on expensive designer clothes, visit fancy restaurants and book expensive hotels.

Kimmence had met the pair while working as Senior Trader at Equine Global Sports Limited. The company previously would place bets on horse races on behalf of clients, but had gone into liquidation.

Having initially denied the charges in February, Kimmence claimed he was investing the money acquired through his own company, S&S Trading - but had failed to do so.

He has been told he will have to serve at least half his sentence of 42 months.
