We have *mixed feelings* about the new Cinderella movie coming out, starring Camila Cabello. While we don’t doubt it’ll be a joy to watch, will it be able to stand up against all the other versions of the classic fairytale out there?

While we’re impartial to any Disney retelling of the story, we can’t help but have a soft spot for the 1997 version starring Brandy.

Havana singer Camila, however, has revealed her favourite version of Cinderella was the A Cinderella Story, the 2004 high-school retelling starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.

Or, as Camila says, Chad Michael Murée.

When approached on the red carpet by Variety, she explained: “I love the Hillary Duff version with Chad Michael Murray. Because of Chad Michael Murray. But I also loved the music in that, and he’s so hot in that movie. That’s the truth.”

The clip was picked up on Twitter by Love In Colour author Bolu Babalola, who wrote: “I am absolutely losing my sh*t over her pronunciation of ‘Murray’. Chad Michael Murré. Help.

“Chad Michael Murreé sounds like an entirely different actor. He does New York plays, he directs, he does bold, he does gritty he wears scarves when it's not even that cold and he teaches sometimes.”

Others were quick to chuckle at the video.

“He doesn’t even pronounce his own name like that!” one person rightly pointed out.

A second joked: “I’m crying they really tried to make the Irish surname Murray sound ‘fancy’.”

“Why is she saying it like the Joker?” a third asked, while a fourth said: “Big Avril Lavigne saying ‘David BOW-ee’ energy.”

The new film is a modern take on the Cinderella tale, seeing Billy Porter play the Fairy Godmother ‘Fab G’, and Nicholas Galitzine, who plays Prince Robert.

Elsewhere, Frozen star Idina Menzel plays Vivian, James Corden stars in a role only known as ‘James’, and Mamma Mia’s infamous terrible singer Pierce Brosnan plays King Rowan.

We’re waiting with bated breath.
