Everyone's Saying The Same Thing About Britney's Surprise Engagement

We're all over the moon that Britney Spears has had a little good news, after she revealed she was now engaged to long-term partner, Sam Asghari.
The Toxic singer, 39, posted a video of herself showing off her impressive diamond on Instagram, captioning the post: “I can’t f***ing believe it!”

Britney has been dating her long-term partner, dancer and personal trainer Sam since 2016.
Naturally, fans were quick to announced how happy they were for the pair, with Britney’s Instagram post quickly racking up hundreds of thousands of likes.
His agent, Brandon Cohen, confirmed the nuptial news to People magazine, writing in a statement: “The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them.”
Socialite pal Paris Hilton wrote: “Congratulations love! So happy for you! Welcome to the club!”
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Michelle Visage added: “Congratulations!”
While Ian ‘H from Steps’ Watkins said: “Woohoo!”
However, many other fans and famous supporters kept urging Britney to get a pre-nup before going down the aisle.
Hollywood star Octavia Spencer was just one of many voices urging the singer to file the legal documents, which say how assets would be divided should the pair get divorced.
Thankfully, Sam himself seemed to be well on-board with this idea, replying to Octavia with the 100 emoji.
He added on his own Instagram page: "Thank you everyone who is concerned about the prenup! Of course we are getting an ironclad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day."
The news of Britney’s engagement comes just days after Britney’s father, Jamie, filed his own documents requesting that his daughter’s conservatorship comes to an end.
The conservatorship, which was initially imposed in 2008 following the singer’s very public mental breakdown, saw Jamie in control of Britney’s personal life and financial state.
In a statement given to the court earlier this year, Britney revealed that the terms of the conservatorship prevented her from getting married to Sam, or having any more children.
In July, she described the binding legal agreements as ‘cruel’, and expressed a desire to file charges against her father for conservatorship abuse.
Britney has previously been married twice before. In 2004, she tied the knot with her childhood friend Jason Alexander, but the pair split shortly after.
In the same year, Britney married dancer Kevin Federline – who she shares her two children, Sean and Jayden with.
The pair divorced in 2007.
