And, no, her hair isn't a greasy mess, it's completely fresh and shiny!
The hairdresser said there's a trick to her hair's pristine condition, and it's all about washing it less than you might think...
Watch the video below:
Michelle captioned the video “I can go without washing for 8 weeks! Do you suffer wittily hair or over dry ends? It’s because [you’re] over washing it.”
In the video, Michelle revealed some of her top tips for “training” your hair to not need a frequent wash..
First things first, you need to push your wash to the next day or two and then continue to delay the wash day by adding days.
She said: “Then you need to persist and keep going with those extra days for a few months. And just keep going slowly over time adding an extra day.
“Once your hair has adjusted… add or alt an extra day for at least six months.”
Michelle warned that the process can take months to years to master but “patience and persistence is the key!!”.
The hairdresser is a colour technician and balayage expert who has over 31.1k followers and uses her 23 years of experience to discuss hair care tips and techniques.
Some of the women in the comments section claimed the technique has already started to work for them. One user shared: “I’ve gone from washing my hair [daily] to once a week and I can feel the difference.”
Another woman was keen to try Michelle’s technique, writing: “I’m up to washing my hair weekly. Been doing that for a couple of months. I’ll add an extra day in soon.”
While a third woman said: “Working on getting to weekly almost there.”
However some TikTok users were not convinced with many noting that their hair becomes extremely oily after washing.
One person responded: “See I wanna try this but I sweat so much in my sleep n from my [head] n I hate the smell so I wash every 2nd day, I can go as long as 3 days that’s it.”
While a second concerned commenter typed: “My hair is oily hours after washing it. Then I have left it a week without washing and it so gross and itchy. It makes me feel depressed.”
After seeing the condition of Michelle's locks, we're willing to risk it...
