Woman Shares TikTok Hack To Take Off Nail Varnish With A Tampon

When we're in a hurry to remove our nail varnish, we usually just grab some tissue or cotton wool. But one woman on TikTok has revealed how she takes off her polish using a tampon.

You can watch the video below:

Tiffany - who goes by the handle @breakfast.at.tiffs on TikTok - shared a video of herself using a tampon to remove the varnish, captioning the post: "If you’re not using a tampon to remove nail polish what are you even doing?"

In the video, she can be seen unwrapping a tampon - which is packed with an applicator. Using the applicator, she then pushes the tip of the tampon out slightly.

Tiffany then takes her bottle of nail varnish remover and dips the tampon in the liquid so the tip is coated. She then begins rubbing the tampon on each nail, removing the polish underneath.

It looks so simple.

Others were pretty impressed with the hack too, with one person commenting: "This is genius!"

While another said: "I don't use tampons anymore and have a ton, I am gonna try this!"

And a third added: "This is so smart! I hate getting the acetone all over my fingertips lol."

There were some, however, who pointed out that using tampons in comparison to cotton wool is a pretty expensive option - and of course not everyone is able to easily access menstrual products - so using a bit of cotton wool would certainly be the cheaper and more sustainable option.

In other beauty news, we told you how one hairdresser has revealed why she only washes her hair every eight weeks.

Michelle - whose hair is completely fresh and shiny - said there's a trick to her hair's pristine condition, and it's all about washing it less than you might think.
