Disney fans will soon be able to transform into one of their favourite characters after Disney World in Florida has started offering up mermaid classes.

Thanks to Mermaid Academy, who are running workshops at the park, you can channel your inner Ariel and learn how to be a mermaid. The best part? You'll even get a working tail.

The one-hour workshops take place at a selection of different hotels throughout the park. These include Disney's Art of Animation Resort, the Caribbean Beach Resort and the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

Classes are available for a range of ages, including adults and children over four years.

Mermaid pupils will be fitted with a "swimmable tail" and guided through a range of activities where they'll learn how to swim like Ariel herself.

This includes swimming through hoops, with some mermaid enthusiasts even mastering an underwater flip.

Pupils will also learn how to flip their fins down to the "sea bed" to pick up all-important treasure. It's a must-have for all fans and promises to be a unique (and mega fun) experience.

Classes are approximately £38 (plus tax) per person and so far, graduating mermaids have been giving rave reviews. From parents who have taken their kids, to groups of mates and individuals, it certainly looks like a magical experience.

One person wrote: "Abshellutely a magical day for shore!! One of my favorite places to flip my fins!!"

While another said: "Best day ever! Loved it. Thank you so much."

Once the class has finished, mermaids will be given a graduation medal. The tails are even available to buy, with Mermaid Academy selling a range of styles and sizes.

They come in purple, blue, rainbow and pearled styles with prices starting at around £84.

For more information on the classes, visit the Disney World website or get in touch with your selected resort.

This looks ah-mazing and a trip to Florida is starting to sound essential...
